The Flick

Gofox, 31 March 2021

The flick is an aerial pass movement. Depending on technical mastery and strength, it can cover short, medium and long distances.

The grip used is a Double V Grip.

The ball is positioned beyond the left foot, so that the stick can pass slightly below the ball during the movement. The hands are close to the body, arms bent. The legs are bent.

The movement consists of pushing the ball 45 degrees up and forward. To do this, the hands and then the stick will move forward to set the ball in motion, immediately followed by a rotation of the trunk and an impulse from the legs to propel the ball upwards. The coordination of the steps and the explosiveness of the movement are essential here to allow the ball to take off sufficiently.
